God Answers Prayers

Scholarship Awarded

I’ve been a college student for several years now and bearing the financial burden on my own. The one scholarship I qualified for and recently applied to was from a fraternal organization giving anywhere from $500 to $2,000 dollars. The essay question I was to write about was, “If you could be anywhere, doing anything, with anyone, what would you choose?”  Being a follower of Christ, of course my heart wants to talk about Jesus. I was weary at first because I was unsure of how it would be received; talking about religion in an essay question seemed slightly controversial. But I went with it, even if it meant I wasn’t awarded the scholarship, maybe it would plant a seed in whoever reads it.

My answer was simple, I wouldn’t dream of changing the what, where and who of my life, I’m grateful for what I’ve been given and blessed with everyday. I couldn’t ask for anything different. I believe this is where I am suppose to be, nurturing and adding to the friends, family and relationships that are presently in my life. God has good and perfect plans for me and the more I let Him lead the closer I will be to His place of blessing. I sent my scholarship application in March and received a letter in May saying I was awarded $1,000! God is so faithful.   …Stephani Huden
