Derek & Krista Forseth
Head Pastor
Derek grew up in the Tukwila area and then moved with his family to Long Island, New York. Being that his dad was a pastor, Derek saw first hand the hard work and scars of the ministry and he knew for sure that he was NOT going to be a pastor "when he grew up." He attended Boston University and graduated from Adelphi University of New York in 1991 with a degree in Sociology. (He is currently halfway through the Family Counseling Masters Program at the G.W. Post campus of Long Island University.) After renewing his commitment to follow Christ, Derek met his future wife, Krista who had been serving as tour coordinator for the African Children's Choir. Starting in 1994 he worked for the Developmental Disabilities Institute of Smithtown, NY as a counselor/manager for “at risk” adults, with a focus on education, vocation, and coping skills. In 2000 Derek and Krista moved to Howard Lake, Minnesota and pastored a dying church back to health. On July 16th, of 2007 Derek and Krista offically came on staff at PC. We are blessed to have them here along with their four children - Sydney, Gunnar, Annika and Aksel.
